Pop-by Gift for Spring

This idea for a pop-by gift or even a party favor is adapted from an idea on the website www.koolerdesign.co.

To make these gifts, you’ll need to buy 3 or 4 inch terra cotta flower pots with matching saucer and paperwhite Narcissus bulbs (one for each pot).  You’ll probably already have on hand 5/8″ satin ribbon in your choice of colors and silk flowers.

Print the following growing instructions to put inside the pot:
Put the saucer under the pot.  Fill the bottom of the pot with 1/4″ inch of potting soil.  Place the bulb on top and sprinkle more soil around it. Up to half of the bulb can be exposed.  Put in a  sunny place indoors or outdoors and water regularly.  Keep the soil moist but not soggy.  The bulb should bloom in in about a month

To assemble:  Simply put the bulb in the pot, along with the growing instructions,  and cover with the saucer turned upside-down. Then wrap the ribbon around the pot tying in a bow on top.  Add a silk flower by either inserting it into the pot or use hot glue to attach it to the top.

To use as a pop-by gift, attach a tag that says “Our Business is Helping You Grow Your Business.”
