My name is Sheila and I just started making gift baskets for my Etsy store which I also just opened. It’s nice to have the support of a group since we are in a business that leaves one alone with their thoughts a lot. I would love to get some feedback from you all about the baskets I’ve made so far…

I just saw from your threads that u all did a complete introduction , so
Let me restart. I worked in the automotive industry as both sales manager and finance manager for over 20 years. It paid great but as a woman in a men’s industry, there’s a lot of crap that you deal with. Anything from sexual harassment to just plain ripping you off by rigging the system to cheat you out of money. Anyway as of Nov 2024 I left my sales manager at Lexus and tried to start an Etsy store. I really didn’t know where to start and after flailing around for a bit, I kinda fell into gift baskets. Mostly because I’d gotten some great deals on various products and ended up with so much that gift baskets made sense. It’s been a journey and it seems to take me too much time to create 1 baskets that I’m not quite sure how I’m going to make a living doing this but I know I can do it I just need to keep at it and gather with like minded ladies. So that’s my long sad story lol. Just trying to never have to go back to the awful car business ya know

Welcome Sheila and thank you for introducing yourself. It sounds like you are brand new to the industry. I can see that you have a lot to learn. If you would like, post the link to your Etsy store and we’ll try to give you some suggestions. Don’t get your feelings hurt if some of the critique is negative as we try to be kind but honest. We all have been where you are now and many of us have come a long way since then with a lot of help from others in the industry along the way.
