My name is Sylvia Kirby, and I have had my business since 2005. I started with a partner, but after four years she withdrew from the business, and since then I have been on my own. I must confess that I have not been diligent in keeping my business at the forefront of the things I should be doing, so at this point I suppose you could consider my business more of a hobby. I am an ESL instructor, and most of my energy is focused on that.
My biggest challenge is that I rarely ask for help or guidance. I don’t know when I became so fearful of bothering others with my questions. I am hoping to become a more active participant in this forum and, in doing so, gain some inspiration and direction.

Hi Sylvia, welcome to the forum. So technically you have been in the biz for quite a long time, it just needs to be “heated up”, right? Don’t be afraid or hesitant to ask questions for help. Many of us on here are at least 20-30 year veterans in the biz and we still all have questions. I know I do. I’m a “question box”. I can come up with questions on just about any subject. We never “know it all”. Just like any business, I suppose, the industry is ever-changing. You can read all the topics and discussion so far and see what I mean! So jump in here and ask away!
