If you are using a Gmail address, you should always check that promotions tab daily as I’ve had lots of messages that were important end up in that tab instead of my inbox. The promotions tab isn’t “spam email” but is for messages trying to sell you something. But, unfortunately, some messages that shouldn’t be there but should be in your inbox end up there. I make sure to check it at least once each day.
