Hey, where are y’all buying your chocolate products from now? My go to was Northwoods Cheese for the Mille Lacs either the milk chocolate nutty pleasures or the dark chocolate sea salt caramels. I talked to Angela and they’re completely out of both! She said she and Derek are putting their heads together in fact this afternoon to discuss this problem. They own Mille Lacs now, but they seem to still have to get pricing from the mfgs I guess it is. So the size, pkgs and product and the pricing were all very ideal for me especially for corporate use. Now I don’t know where to go or what I’m going to do for my ongoing use of those in corporate baskets! I’m looking on Faire and so far don’t see anything anywhere equivalent! I know chocolate has definitely gone up everywhere for all of it so it IS a problem for us. Input needed thank you.

I don’t have a source for anything similarly sized and priced, but I have found the Truffellettes from Saksco are working really well for me.

Ok, thanks, Lise. I’ll check that out. I haven’t ordered from Saksco in a very long time.

I’m putting less and less chocolate in my designs and don’t see that changing any time soon. Since it’s pretty warm where I’m at most of the year, I stick with whatever my local distributor carries and a local vendor. There is a Costco Business Services location here, so I buy the 3 piece Ferrero Rocher packages there. Nothing in a box or in that size of what Mille Lacs had though. I’ve seen a number of people using Dollar Tree, but any time I’ve bought something there, it has bloomed. They just don’t know how to handle chocolate in my area. Saksco is a long distance for me. I’m either losing my mind, or GiftBasketSupplies.com aka JDW Distributors, has a little more for sale on Faire lately? …but definitely not the chocolate truffles that they used to carry…although still not the same size as what you’re talking about Glenda. Girl Scouts sell a similar box in the fall distributed by Trophy Nut Company, Tipp City, OH 45371. Maybe they might have something?

Lise, do you get the small 2 pc box or the dusted 12 pc box?

I’m not sure where you’re located but here in Missouri we have a company called Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate. They are retail and wholesale. They also have Bissingers Chocolates.

Donna, I’m located in NC. So can you put in here their website address? Thanks.

Sherry, are you suggesting that I buy from girl scouts? Didn’t know they sold anything but cookies! Looks good, but so seasonal!

Ok, I saw your written post now. So I might check into that mfg.

The website is http://www.chocolatechocolate.com. I think you have to call them for wholesale info or email sales@chocolatechocolate.com.
I believe Saksco and maybe fair is carrying some of their products.
You may also try Russell Stover chocolates.

Glenda, I have a feeling that Trophy Nut Company manufactures for Mille Lacs (aka Derek) because the box size, tray, and chocolates are as I remember them from Mille Lacs (what I currently have that was manufactured for Girl Scouts), so likely they would require a large order, but ya never know! Good Luck!

I have a contact at Trophy if you want.
I carried the 5, 6 and 12 pc for the holidays this year.

I’m coning to this party late, but I have been using Ticket Chocolate formerly LeGrand Chocolates near Sacramento, CA. I started my business in Sacramento and I’m currently in Reno/Virginia City Nevada. (Two hours away) I still order from them. I used to pick up locally, but for the first time ever, I ordered from them thru Faire and had them send it. They never disappoint.
Their truffle packaging is elegant and a tad pricy, but I also put it in my store, and customers are buying.
