Lise spent several years working in floral design, corporate human resources and retail management before launching BasketWorks, a custom gift basket company, in 1997. She has a BS in Business Administration and a MA Labor & Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois. With her educational background, employment background, and business ownership, Lise is knowledgeable about all aspects of business, from marketing to design to long term planning. Lise’s work has received awards including 1st place for Executive Design and she has been featured in the Chicago Tribune, on WBBM radio, and in the Gift Basket Design Book. In addition to her business, she is intensely involved in local organizations; she has been named Volunteer of the Year by both the Chamber of Commerce and her synagogue. Lise has Crohn’s Disease as well as clinical depression. She participates in the Peyton Heart Project to remove the stigma around mental illness and to encourage people to speak openly. Lise lives in Northbrook IL with her husband; they have two young adult sons and a cat.
